This project investigates the state-of-the-art of emotional characters in virtual crowds and presents the implementation of a computational model able to generate expressive full-body motion behaviour and emotion contagion in a crowd of virtual agents. The computational model was developed within the game engine Unity and it was evaluated with two perceptual studies.
The research was part of my Master Thesis in Computer Graphics, carried out at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm). The results were presented at SIGRAD Swedish Computer Graphics Association 2014 (Gothenburg) and at the ACM Symposium on Applied Perception 2014 (Vancouver).
